Socials

Exploring current affairs and history relating to imperialism, the global south, gender, political economy, and people-to-people ties.

Journal of International Solidarity is a long-form interview podcast hosted by A. Shantha that treats imperialism, the Global South, political economy, and people-to-people solidarity as one connected story. Episodes move between current events and history: occupation and resistance, how development and sovereignty are contested in Asia and Africa, and how culture and the media shape what audiences around the world are allowed to see as “normal” politics.

Guests include scholars, organizers, and authors; conversations are grounded in books, journals, and grassroots campaigns, so listening often doubles as an informal tour of anti-imperialist writing and independent publishing.
