Inspiration

"We were people; with great difficulty we became human."

― Akbar Allahabadi

The contradictions of capitalism have progressed to the point of threatening our very existence on this planet.

Driven by the rapacious consumption and greed of the western nations as they adhere to the logic of capital - the logic of the cancer cell - these contradictions have brought us to a major inflection point in our collective history.

Within the nations that make up the imperial core a billionaire-owned and corporate-controlled media environment has given rise to the most propagandized society the world has ever known.

To counter this development - to have a hope of achieving the better world we know is possible -  radical education and inspiration are essential.

This website aims to make high quality, non-mainstream educational resources easily available and accessible in order to enrich, in some small way, the political and social consciousness of the masses.

The research, articles, podcasts, videos and collections here cover all aspects of a well-rounded political education on the reality of the world: politics, society, philosophy, economics, culture, analysis, journalism, resistance, art and more.

The aim of the content curation presented here is to capture narratives and perspectives from outside of the western and capitalist-dominated mental landscape that surrounds us every day like the water surrounding a fish: unseen but ever present.

The inspiration for the site came after many conversations - both in-person and online - that highlighted the need for an accessible and easy to navigate website containing counter narratives that could be shared with a simple effort.

This is a place to easily access the vast and already-existing online wealth of research, knowledge, inspiration and movements that are often difficult to find all in one place.

The material on this site is presented with great respect and appreciation for all of the comrades that have worked to create it.

Principles

"Colonialism only loosens its hold when the knife is at its throat."

― Frantz Fanon

While the sources collected on this site are diverse and cover many areas of study and knowledge - and no collection of this type can or even should attempt to achieve unanimity of thought - the curation of the site follows the spirit of these principles.

1. The primary contradiction is US and western imperialism.

This means our focus must be first and foremost on opposing the violence and barbarism of imperialism, even when that means supporting countries and organizations that themselves contain internal contradictions. Desiring perfection is idealism, building socialism is the goal and that goal is impossible while US empire dominates.

2. Left-wing starts at anti-capitalism.

This means a steadfast rejection of liberalism and a refusal to retreat into acceptance of the status quo that sees the vast majority of humanity deprived of material necessities for the benefit of the few - the capitalists, the Epstein class, the bourgeoisie, the billionaires.

3. The west is not humanity.

This means that creating a just world requires reorienting the productive forces of humanity to serve, respect and uplift the Global Majority. Only around 15% of the world lives in the so-called western countries; the vast majority of humanity is not well-served by the systems of world power.

4. Anti-Zionism is non-negotiable.

This means the genocidal European settler-colony of "Israel" has no right to exist, the right of occupied indigenous people to armed resistance against their occupiers is a given and the recognition that Zionism and the networks it sustains are the Nazis of today must be explicit.

5. Only communism can defeat capitalism.

This means the science of dialectical and historical materialism must aim to transform the world, not merely interpret it; we must reject dogmatic, non-threatening to capital and anticommunist strains of Western Marxism in favour of genuinely anti-imperialist Marxism-Leninism.

An understanding of the world gathered from studying its tendencies, patterns and history in a holistic and dialectical sense, guided by a principled moral framework and a desire for the creation of a more evolved human society will lead inevitably to the principles described above.

To a world free from the suffering and insanity created by the hegemony of capitalism.

“Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing.”

― Arundhati Roy
