Critical Theory Workshop
The Critical Theory Workshop / Atelier de Théorie Critique is a 501(c)3 educational non-profit that brings affordable & free education with real use-value to a broad, international public.
Founded in 2008 as an intensive summer research program in Paris, the CTW/ATC has grown over the years to include an online summer school, public symposiums and book launches, online lectures and interviews, and an extensive video archive as a free public educational resource.
In 2024, the CTW/ATC launched the AIM book series with Iskra Books, and it became a co-sponsor of the World Marxist Review. In 2025, a sister book series, Studies in AIM, was launched with Brill.
Paying special attention to traditions of thought that have been marginalized in the academy, while providing a platform for international scholarship invested in social justice, the CTW/ATC has had the good fortune of working with a long list of prestigious invited speakers, including figures like Domenico Losurdo, Radhika Desai, Geneviève Fraisse, Pierre Macherey, Jacques Rancière, Seloua Luste Boulbina, and Amy Allen (see the complete list here).
